Laos Classic Tour ( HOUEISAY – LUANGPRABANG –XIENGKUANG - VIENTIANE - PAKSE – UBON-PAKSE)

Travel through Laos to see how strongly this country revives after war, how beautiful the nature remains, how rich the culture reserves and how the people keep their spiritual life flowing along the ups and downs of history

DAY1 : HOUEISAY – PAKBENG (L,D)
Leaves Houeisay pier at 09.00 hrs for a cruise down the Mekong for Pakbeng making one stopover to view rustic village and meet hill tribes, delicious buffet lunch is served on boat, arriving at Pakbeng before sunset. Dinner and accommodations at picturesque Luangsay lodge built on riverbanks amidst lush green hills, Dinning rooms on the terrace provides stunning view of Mekong River.

DAY 2: PAKBENG – PAK OU – LUANG PRABANG (B, L,D)
After early breakfast allows, optional choice of visiting nearby Pakbeng market, where people from surrounding hill tribes villages trade and exchange their goods. At 08.30 boat departs for Luang Prabang , making stop at Hmong village before lunch on board. Just before reaching Luang Prabang before sunset, a stop is made at Pak-Ou village at the mouth of Nam Ou river to visit Tham Ting “ Caves of thousand Buddha’s “ and brief stop after caves is the famous village where traditional local rice alcohol is brewed from centuries. Overnight in Luangprabang .

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG (B/L/D)
Spend your full day for a city tour of this ancient capital of the Lao Kingdom beautifully situated on the Mekong surrounded by hills. Visit Wat Visoun, Wat May, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Praphuthabat, Ban Sanghai, Ban Phanom weaving village and Ban Sangkong village (paper making from mulberry tree). Have dinner and O/N in Luang Prabang

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)
It is your own time today. O/N in Luang Prabang

DAY 5: LUANG PRABANG – XIENG KHOUANG (B/L/D)

Drive from Luang Prabang to Xieng Khouang (260 kms, takes about 6 hours). Upon arrival check-in at hotel and visit 2 sites of the Plain of Jars. Have dinner and O/N in Xieng Khouang.

DAY 6: XIENG KHOUANG - VIENTIANE (B/L/D)
Visit third site on Plain of Jars, bustling local market before transfer to airport for the flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, visit Wat Prakeo (the original home of the emerald Buddha), Wat Sisaket (the house of thousand Buddha images), Anousavari (Vientiane arc de Triumph), Pra thatluang stupa (the stupa that kept the relic of Lord Buddha). Have dinner and O/N in Vientiane

DAY 7: VIENTIANE (B/-/-)
It is your own time today. O/N in Vientiane

DAY 8: VIENTIANE - PAKSE - CHAMPASACK (B/L/D)
Transfer to airport for flight to Pakse. Continue by road to Champasack (the old capital of southern region). Check in hotel and then visit Wat Phou (Khmer ruin dated 11th century). Overnight at
Thaveesup hotel

DAY 9: CHAMPASACK - DONKHONG (B/L/D)
Have an excursion by car to Donkhong island (the biggest island on the Mekong with 9 km width and 11 km length), visit UMong Khmer ruin dated 6th century. Over night at Sala Donkong in Champasack.

DAY 10: KHONPHAPHENG - PAKSE (B/L/D)

In the morning take a river cruise by slow boat (“4000 islands”) to Ban Khon to visit Li Phi waterfall, then return to the mainland to visit Khon Phapheng waterfall (the widest waterfall in South East Asia). Return to Pakse for dinner and O/N in Pakse city.

DAY 11: PAKSE – PREAH VIHEAR TEMPLE - UBON (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to Chongmek Immigration Check-Point, change car for journey to visit Preah Vihear temple via Ubon. Cambodia and Thailand allow visitors to pass the temporary Boder Gate. It will take 2 hour driving to reach Preah Vihear temple. Drive back to Ubon for dinner and overnight. Hotel in Ubon.

DAY 12: UBON – PAKSE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to the border to return to Pakse. You have to pay by yourselves for re-entry visa which costs US$30/pax. Visit the local market in Pakse and then continue to Bolaven Plateau. Return to Pakse city for dinner and O/N in Pakse

DAY 13: PAKSE – SIEM REAP (B/-/-)
After early breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight at 08.10 to Siem Reap. End of services in Laos
