Welcome to paradise
- Vang Vieng, located in the central southern Laos, 4 hour-drive north
of Vientiane and 7 hour-drive south of Luang Prabang. Setting along
the banks of Nam Song River, this delightful and scenic town is a
new hot town for backpackers and also for Laotians. Though there is
not a lot to do but the town gives the sound of peace and quiet. Furthermore
there are rivers, mountains and caves waiting to be explored.
Day 1: Arrive Vientiane - Vang Viang
Arrive in Vientiane at Wattary Airport or Thadue Friendship Bridge.
Welcome with hospitality. 3-hours drive to Vang Vieng (150 kms away
from Vientiane), on the way a short stop is at Vang Xang, the archeological
site of 8-11th century and then visit Tham Chang (cave), with a panoramic
beautiful views of the village and its rice field from top of the
hill. This cave is well lit, fairy tale atmosphere. Beneath the cave
is natural pools (bathing no charge) - you can swim from here to anther
section of the cave. Watch your back; it's very dark and occupied
by bats.
Day 2: Vang Vieng - Vientiane
Breakfast at hotel. Start the day with discovery a well-known area
of its beautiful landscape of Vang Vieng. Visit the rural villages
of the surrounding including the village of Pha Tang (splendid rock).
We travel overland back to Vientiane with a short at Nam Ngum Dam,
of which generates electricity system of the country. The area is
very picturesque. Hundred of islets are scattered all over the lake..
Then continue the trip to Vientiane by road No.10.
Day 3: Depart Vientiane
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy last day visiting the National Museum and
Central Market for shopping. Afternoon we transfer you to Thadeua
Friendship Bridge or Wattary Airport for departure flight.
