LUANGPRABANG STOPOVER 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

A sleepy little French colonial town Luang Prabang offers visitors a chance to slow down and enjoy a sunset or two. Once re-vitalized, spend a day exploring the local Wats or head onto the Mekong in a long boat and see Pak Ou Caves or the Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls.


DAY 1 : ARRIVAL – LUANGPRABANG ( L/D)
Meet on arrival , transfer to Luangprabang . Afternoon visit Wat Visoun , Wat Aham , Wat Xiengthong . Then Visit Phousi Hill, the 328 Steps leads to the summit of Phousi Hill with the panoramic view in the whole Luangprabang . Overnight in Luangprabang

DAY 2 : LUANGPRABANG – PAK OU CAVE ( B/L/D)
After breakfast, take a boat trip ( a few hours ) to visit Pak Ou Cave in the side of a lime stone cliff and opposite of the mouth of the Mekong and Nam Ou River. Upon arrival visit to holy Tham Ting ( Pak ou Caves ) with thousand of Buddha statues. . Visit Ban Xanghai , the well-known village for Lao traditional rice whisky to be distilled and tasted . Lunch at local restaurant . Return to Luangprabang , continue by car to visit Ban Xangkhong, the well-known village for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weaving with natural dyes , where you can do shopping there . Overnight in Luangprabang.

DAY 3 : LUANGPRABANG – KUANGSI WATERFALL ( B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel , visit the National Museum , the former Royal Palace . Take an excursion by car ( 30 Km South ) to visit Kuangsi waterfall , which though not very high , is spectacular and really beautiful with its green srrrondings as the preserved National Nature . En rout , stop to visit Ban Na Oune , a small Hong village and also visit Ban Tha pane , a small Hmong Village of Khmu minority group. Picnic lunch at Kuangsi waterfall . Return to Luangprabang in late afternoon. Overnight in Luangprabang .

DAY 4 : LUANGPRABANG – DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast , visit the National Museum , former Royal Palace which houses the collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue , gifts received from foreign dignitaries…etc. Transfer to Luangprabang airport for departure .
